Introducing: ErikaTheDreamer (me)

Hi Barbies!

I am so happy to finally start writing my own blog! But first, why don't I introduce myself?

I'm Erika! I love my name because it's also the name of a Barbie character: the pauper from Barbie as the Princess and the Pauper, often remembered having the icon Preminger as the villain (who I hope we all know by now)! That movie is one of my favorite Barbie movies but I'll talk more about that later on. 

I am 17 years old and situated in Stockholm, Sweden. And also, please have in mind when reading my blog posts that English is my second language.

Right now I'm studying social sciences specializing in behavioral science which I find really interesting! My favorite subject at the moment is psychology. I tend to analyse everyone and everything to figure out why they did this or that, which maybe is the reason I enjoy it so much, hehe!

If you hadn't noticed, this blog is going to be mostly about Barbie! And no, I'm not talking about The Barbie Movie starring Margot Robbie from 2023, I'm talking about the old Barbie movies released in the 2000s and 2010s!! Those are my big passion and a sort of hobby interlinked with my everyday life.

About 2-3 years ago I discovered my old Barbie DVDs and decided, why not rewatch some? The nostalgia was unreal and I got such a kick from the re-watches I simply couldn't stop. I started to talk about them with everyone I knew, my family and friends, they never heard about another thing! I was so happy to have found joy in something so simple as Barbie movies. At that time I had been going through a rough period of my life and this instantly uplifted me. Ever since then Barbie movies has been a big part of who I am and who I want to be. I have analysed the hell out of them but I haven't had an outlet for all my thoughts (except yapping to family and friends) til' now...

This blog is my best idea yet, and I am so grateful for Indigenous Diva, who popped up on my feed and showed me that blogging still exists and also how cute you can make it look!!

I will also be talking about the sitcom Seinfeld from 1989-1998, the TV-series h2o: just add water from 2006-2009, the Tinkerbell movies from 2008-2014 and so much more. Those are just shows/movies that are always present in my life!

  

I have been tinkering (haha get it? I'm a tinker fairy) with all the gadgets you can see on the side panels for over a month now (yeah I know, perfectionist much) but I have finally had enough. I am so eager to start writing now! Now! (ifykyk)
